It happened in China – the car crashed into a partition between the toll booths, the car went up in the air, and then crashed to the ground.
It happened at about 8:20 pm on November 24 at the Shihe toll station of the Shenyang-Dalian Expressway (between the cities of Shenyang and Dilian, Liaoning province).
For some reason, the driver was traveling at high speed and instead of slowing down and entering one of the lanes, he crashed directly into a concrete barrier. The slope of the attack threw the car up about six meters. The car ended up on the roof.
Local media reported that rescuers arrived at the scene as early as 20:39 and removed the living driver from the car.
Needless to say, the ski-jump-like fenders worked better than if the car had simply crashed into a concrete wall.
