By 2026, Czech automaker Skoda will launch a seven-seater SUV, compact crossover and low-cost city car worth less than €25,000, CEO Klaus Selmer said.
He said the bulk of the investment, more than €5 billion, will go to developing “green” cars. However, the company does not plan to stop producing petrol cars.
“The West is switching to electric power stations, combustion engines are still popular and efficient. Skoda sees them as a source of funding for transformation processes.” Selmer said.
At the moment, the Czech manufacturer’s only fully electric model is the Skoda Enyaq. One of the new cars could be the Vision 7S crossover, which was introduced in August.
