The first danger you may face is the resemblance of the color scheme and layout of the painted elements to police vehicles, which may misidentify your vehicle as related to the specified service.
Examples of the corresponding color schemes can be found in the national standard GOST R 50574–2019 “Cars, buses and motorcycles of operational services. Color schemes, identification marks, inscriptions, special light and sound signals. General requirements”. Even a general resemblance will be enough to make the driver liable under Part 6 of Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for driving a vehicle on the outer surfaces of which special color schemes of vehicles of operational services are illegal fitted . The driver risks being deprived of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one year to one and a half years.
When implementing the plan, an application will also have to be submitted to the National Traffic Inspectorate to make changes to the vehicle’s license plate data in connection with a change in colour.
