The closing ceremony of the Driving Grand Prix in the commercial vehicle segment took place at the specialized exhibition BW Expo 2022 in the capital Crocus City. The prizes were presented to the winners by Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of Za Rulem magazine.
The commercial Grand Prix differs from the “passenger car” primarily in the composition of the jury. This year it included 78 transport and operating companies, from Mosgortrans to Yamaldorstroy. It was the carriers themselves who, in their opinion, chose the best new commercial vehicles to enter the Russian market in 2022. Despite the difficult situation, there were 36 new models.
We have divided all entries into five nominations.
1. Small and medium class buses
In this standings was the leader MAZ-206045 – he collected 37.5% of the vote.
Andrey Tkachenko, deputy general director of MAZ-Rus, received the award for winning the segment of small and medium buses.
2. Large class buses
A rare situation: four nominees scored the same number of votes – MAZ-203047 and three NefAZ models. So for the first time in the history of our Grand Prix we awarded two prizes in one category.
3. Medium-duty trucks
In this group was out of competition KAMAZ-43089 Compass-12 – 41.7% of the vote.
The award for the best medium-duty truck was presented to the director of KAMAZ PJSC for passenger transport Samat Sattarov.
4. Heavy trucks
Foton Auman EST An 1846 AMT from the Chinese company Beiqi Foton Motor was recognized as the best.
The prize for the best heavy truck goes to Roman Ryzhikov, deputy general manager of Foton Motor.
5. Trailers
Title “Trailer of the Year” awarded by the jury Tonaru 97855 – 29.2% of the vote.
The awards were presented to the representative of the machine-building plant “Tonar” Dmitry Stepin.
Special prices
In addition to the main winners special prices The editors of ZR noted two important events for Russia.
First: the appearance of the first Russian light commercial electric vehicle is the GAZelle e-NN.
Second: the birth of a new promising diesel engine KAMAZ-910.10-550 in cooperation with the Liebherr concern.
