He talked about the difficulties and constraints on imported components the company faced, as well as working on quality under difficult conditions.
“While replacing individual components, we do not allow the properties and performance of our product to deteriorate, on the contrary, the characteristics of the product being made are constantly improved. Unfortunately, this leads to an increase in the cost of the vehicle, so Russian-made goods exceed the cost of foreign analogues,” Sattarov explained.
According to the speaker, only the emergence of state programs that motivate component suppliers and manufacturers can change the situation. And the work on import substitution itself, Sattarov said, is already actively underway: for example, on the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus, imported components were partially replaced by the latest Russian developments, and the other part was replaced by analogues produced by friendly countries.
