The RX-7 sports car is one of Mazda’s most recognizable vehicles. The third generation of the model was produced from 1992 to 2002 and Mazda continues to produce parts and components for refurbishing older RX-7s. But if you manage to find a car with low mileage and in good condition, then this is definitely a real success.

The video shows a 1994 RX-7 gathering dust in the garage since 1999.

The legend says: the owner bought a brand new car, drove it about 14,000 km, but one day he drove onto the highway and was afraid of its power. He then parked the sports car in the garage, where specialists found it 23 years later, littered with a mountain of garage rubble.

All parts of the car are completely original and just needed a thorough cleaning.

We started with cleaning the engine bay, interior and trunk, high-pressure exterior cleaning, then moved on to a more thorough cleaning with specialty chemicals, full paint restoration and polishing. Some parts had to be dismantled to better reach the contaminated areas.

The result is impressive – the shiny RX-7 is in almost perfect condition and when a new battery was connected, the car was still running.

During the “cleaning”, the servicemen found many interesting finds in the car, in particular mouse nests, and they even managed to find some corpses – the mice lived here happily and died of old age.
