The Russian servicemen, who were undergoing rehabilitation after being wounded in the NVO zone, were given the opportunity to go on a New Year’s Eve tour with their families. A special train runs from Moscow to Veliky Ustyug, the homeland of Father Frost.
The trip was organized within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Defense and Russian Railways “We will not abandon ours”.
The first train left on November 26. It has 227 passengers, including 20 members of a special military operation. Another 207 passengers are members of military families, of which 106 children. In every city where the train stops, there is an excursion for passengers.
“As part of the tour, the train will travel along the route within five days: Moscow – Veliky Novgorod – the Ruskeala Mountain Park – Arkhangelsk – Veliky Ustyug,” the military department said.
The Ministry of Defense plans to launch three more such trains: on December 3, 10 and 17 they will depart from Moscow. In total, more than a thousand people will participate in the action.
