KAMAZ will begin production of K5 trucks in February 2023, which will not contain parts from unfriendly states, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said.

Despite the sanctions, KAMAZ is fulfilling all obligations assigned to the company. About 100 K4 and 150 K5 trucks leave the workshops every month.

“From February 2023, the aim is to ensure full production of K5 generation trucks using components that do not rely on supplies from unfriendly countries,” said the cabinet of ministers.

Previously, the factory had problems due to Western sanctions, as some components were imported into KamAZ trucks, including: electronics, axles and gearboxes. But the Kama plant managed to overcome all difficulties and resumed production.
