During an internal inspection, a film was found in one of Mosfilm’s office buildings containing a documentary shot of Evgeny Urbansky on set.
The actor was 33 years old at the time of his death in a car accident. It happened in November 1965 in Uzbekistan on the set of the movie “Director”.
According to the plot, the car, in which Urbansky and the stunt driver were, had to “jump” off the dune and overtake the motorcade of cars. However, during the performance of the jump, the actor received a serious head injury and died in the hospital.
Mosfilm notes that these recordings are being published for the first time.
