The shortlist for the finalists of the Car of the Year Award 2023 is ready. A jury of more than 60 members representing European countries selected seven cars from 27 entries. It makes sense that they all either have a hybrid powerplant, or an all-electric version, among other things, or an electric-only version.
The final vote will begin in January, which will determine the winner of the prize. At the 100th Brussels Motor Show on January 13, 2023, we will find out which car will be the best.
The list of contenders for the 2023 European Car of the Year is as follows:
- Jeep Avengers
- Kia Niro
- Nissan Ariya
- Peugeot408
- Renault Australia
- Subaru Solterra / Toyota bZfourX
- Volkswagen ID. fuss
In 2022, the Kia EV6 was voted European Car of the Year. He scored 279 points and overtook Renault MeGane E-Tech Electric. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 (cousin of the EV6) took third place.
