At present, Russian buyers with a budget below 1 million rubles in the new-car market can choose from the classic SUV Lada Niva Legend, the Granta sedan and liftback, and the Granta Cross. Back in January, the lowest price points for the Granta Drive Active sedan and liftback, as well as the Niva Travel, stayed under the 1 million ruble threshold. Throughout the year, these models grew more expensive, narrowing the affordable options for a new entry in this price segment.
According to the portal, the weighted average price increase across all Lada models from January to mid-December 2023 reached 14.3%. The most pronounced percentage gains were seen in specific configurations: the Niva Travel rose by 31.4% in its top trim, the Vesta SW Cross climbed 28.9% in its top configuration, and the Granta Cross increased by 27.4% in its minimum configuration.
