Soon, already in the spring, Iranian cars will be sold in Russia, which is interesting because they are made on the basis of European models that have proven themselves from the best sides.

They have naturally aspirated engines, which are easier to maintain and are excellent for overhaul. In addition, they do not have enough horsepower to make the motor vehicle tax or OSAGO heavy.

All this promises good savings. But is it?

OSAGO charges for Iranian cars

For example, you will have to pay 5.8 thousand rubles for an OSAGO policy for Iran Khodro and Saipa Shahin models if the driver is 35 years old and has 10 years of experience. If you often have an accident, the cost of OSAGO can reach 49.9 thousand rubles (bonus-malus coefficient 3.92). For car-sharing and taxi, OSAGO will cost 95.4 thousand rubles.

Iranian car service

It has already been noted that today there are enough spare parts and consumables for Iranian cars in Russia – these are the same parts used for cars Peugeot and Lemon.

Therefore, maintenance with the replacement of candles (450 rubles each), filters and oil costs about 9000 rubles – this is how much French cars cost with an unofficial but specialized service.

Replacing the brake pads, as Za Rulem, the oldest and most popular car publication in Russia, was told at the Avtoritet car service on the Novoryazanskoye Highway, costs 1800 rubles for two-wheel pads and 800 rubles for work.

Replacing the timing belt (about every 90 thousand km) with the installation of a new pump, antifreeze and work will cost 24 thousand rubles.

That is, Iranian cars will be quite affordable at the price of maintenance, and there are plenty of workshops and services in Russia where they can be accepted even today.
