Average spare parts prices for some brands of auto parts have risen, and for some brands – quite significantly, notes the Russian Union of Auto Insurers. In the list of average spare parts prices, the price increase since the beginning of the year has been more than 50% for some brands.
Brands whose spare parts have increased in price the most:
- Honda — by 59%
- volvo – 51%
- Mazda – 49%
- Land Rover – 46%
- infinite – 42%
- BMW- on the 41%
- Mercedes-Benz on the 41%
- Suzuki and Audi- on the 38%.
However, the share of policies for cars of these brands is small: 1.5-2% for each of them, which makes a total of 12-13% of the total number of OSAGO contracts.
The average price increase for spare parts for foreign cars was about 30%: for Nissan, Mitsubishi, Lexus they increased by 33%, Toyota – by 31%, Skoda – by 30%, Hyundai, Kia – by 29%, Volkswagen – by 28% , Chevrolet — by 27%. Spare parts for domestic Ladas “added” on average 12%.
The rise in spare parts prices for the brands announcing their withdrawal from the country turned out to be significant, said Evgeny Ufimtsev, executive director of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA). But he believes that after the introduction of parallel imports, prices for spare parts will fall for a number of brands.
