The mayor of the capital believes that the factory will become the center of the construction of electric vehicles and that all the necessary competences are present for this.
Now the Moscow government is deploying the charging infrastructure at a faster pace.
The plant is in the active stage of preparation for the start of car production.
The head of the factory, Dmitry Pronin, noted in his Telegram channel that the base partner of KAMAZ will help the factory with technological and marketing solutions. First, together with colleagues, the plant will engage in SKD assembly of machines, in the second stage – a deeper localization of this production.
This year, about 600 cars will be assembled from car kits, including 200 electric cars, in 2023 – up to 50 thousand cars, of which 10-20 thousand with an electric motor.
“Our long-term goal is to create a new modern Russian electric city car from scratch that will be affordable, convenient and safe,” said Dmitry Pronin.
