Citymax 9 is a mid-range bus built on a new platform. The index indicates the length – 9 m. The salon is designed for 77 people and, according to the developers, has the maximum floor area for its segment (10 m2). In the future, the family will expand, with buses up to 19 m long with a capacity of up to 200 people.
Not only PAZ, but also other enterprises of the GAZ Group will be engaged in the release of new items.
The version with the well-known YaMZ-534 diesel engine will be the first to go into production. But the automatic transmission will be domestic – its own gas development. The localization of such a change will be about 90%.
In the future, Citymax gas and electric buses will appear.
The design uses composite materials that are not subject to corrosion and are lighter in weight.
The equipment is standard: a kneeling system (lowering the floor at stops), an electric wheelchair ramp, LED lighting, climate control, a storage area with places for wheelchairs and prams, as well as with soft lumbar supports.
