This Sunday, October 23, the final of the Russian Endurance Challenge-2022 series, the REC Sochi Autodrom 4h race, will take place at the Sochi Autodrom. Spectators will compete in five classes: CN Sport Prototype, CN 1.6 Sport Prototype, GT Pro, GT Light and GT. In the latter, by the way, the premiere is expected – a unique car Marussia B2 of the NRG MOTORSPORT team (No. 2, pilots Nikita Nikitin, Mikhail Mikhin and Alexei Krylov). Recall that the Marussia B1 GT races in the GT Pro class.
The championship in GT Pro can go to the leaders of the general classification of the Capital Racing Team (Mercedes GT3 No. 13, drivers Denis Remenyako and Mikhail Aleshin), but they will not participate in the final. And there are plenty of competitors: KTM Racing Team (KTM X-BOW No. 71, drivers Andrey Goncharov and Andrey Maslennikov), Yadro Motorsport (Mercedes GT3 No. 48, drivers Sergey Stolyarov, Rinat Salikhov), IY Engineering (Marussia B1 GT No. 7, drivers Vitaly Larionov, Michael Belov) and Spora GT (Porsche GT3 Club No. 23, Alexey Dudukalo, Sergey Titarenko). What names, what technology!
Another contender for absolute leadership is the CN class member of the G-Drive Racing team’s 26 crew on the elegant Ligier G-Drive 01, pilots Roman Rusinov and Sergey Afanasiev. And in the CN 1.6 standings, a sharp duel between two shortcutters is expected: the leader of the standings, crew No. 44 (Tatiana Dobrynina, Vadim Vereshchagin, Ivan Pugachev, Alexander Dudarev) and crew No. 21 (Mikhail Loboda, Kirill Kirazov ).
In the most massive GT class, Alexander Vartanyan, Stanislav Aksenov and Anton Devyakovich are newcomers to Spora GT on Toyota Supra at No. 41. The battle will continue with the renewed APRTeam crew (pilots Marat Khairov, Oleg Semyonov), who is at No. 98 performance on a BMW M4 in a clear historical packaging. Chev Team and Shonx Racing, already known from previous stages, will participate.
From other news of the series: two prototypes of Legends-Evo are launched for the first time in Sochi. Also expected are the YAKHNICH DRIVE Mitjet (No. 81) and the Classic Car Racing BMW E92 (No. 92).
