At the beginning of October 2022, there were not so many foreign cars left on the Russian market from Europe, Japan and the US.
Mitsubishi, Skoda, Mazda, Volvo, Chevrolet, Cadillac models became scarce, the situation at Land Rover, Lexus, BMW dealers is slightly better.
“Our company has already run out of Renault, Skoda and Volkswagen cars,” Denis Reshetnikov, head of the Fresh Auto dealership, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
He noted that their sales are nevertheless growing: in May 27,458 cars were registered in the EPTS, in June – 32,731 units, in July – 35,583 units, in August – 42,593 and in September – 44,398 new cars.
However, according to the general statistics of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee, sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in the Russian market fell by 59.6% in September to 46,698 units, and after 9 months’ results from the beginning of the year – by 59.8% to 508,661 cars.
