Uganda has signed an agreement with KAMAZ on the construction of a factory to produce trucks for export to the African market, Ugandan Ambassador to the Russian Federation Moses Kizige said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The ambassador added that Uganda has recently started producing its own electric vehicles to take care of nature, and is not ruling out the possibility of exporting them to Russia.
“We have just started, but one day we will export Ugandan electric vehicles to Russia,” the diplomat added.
He also said that interest from Russian investors in Uganda is growing and that the country has recently issued a dozen visas to Russian businessmen.
